As best described by the Sky: COTL official wiki:

"The world of Sky: Children of the Light allows the player to explore a fantasy-based kingdom, using free-roaming experience and a magical Cape that grants players the ability to fly and flap. There are seven unique Realms to visit, and each one is themed around a different stage in life. In addition to these Realms, there is the player's Home and the Aviary Village, which serve as hubs. Throughout the game, the player will encounter Spirits which may be used to unlock Cosmetics and Expressions in return for in-game Currency. The player can also find Children of Light, which grant Winged Light – a Collectible item used to increase Cape Energy, allowing further flight."

I was first introduced to Sky around 2020. I'd been scrolling through the android playstore when I saw it reccommended to me on the app fronts page. It was the iconic image of two skykids holding hands, flying through a bright blue sky and fluffy clouds.

I instantly gravitated to it due to its unique character designs and art direction. When I saw that you could customize a character and use it to explore a vast world? I was instantly sold.

As a moth, I spent a good amount of time exploring, however, I also heavily focused on making sure I could complete every realm, making sure I found every spirit and winglight that I could before moving on the next realms. As a result, I spent much of my time watching tutorials and guides of where certain spirit and wl locations were at.

I absolutely adored farming for candles, doing my eden runs and doing heart trades whenever possible so I could buy as many cosmetics. It was especially difficult for me at the beginning, as I was a poor moth, who constantly had to save up for the ever lasting Traveling spirits with plenty of previous cosmetics. But in the end, I would always dedicate atleast 2 hours (crazy I know) everyday to candle run through all the realms to get a total of 20 candles.
